The promotion of the report of Euroclio: Key to unlock the past, history education in Macedonia: An analysis of today, suggestions for the future. Skopje 29.08.2012.
 

On 29 August 2012 in Skopje, on the Info Center of Delegation of EU in Skopje Euroclio and AHEM promoted the report of Euroclio: Key to unlock the past, history education in Macedonia: An analysis of today, suggestions for the future. The report was promoted in the presence of Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mr. Safet Neziri, and in this occasion officially was delivered the copy of the report. In the promotion of the report were present and had a speech the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherland in the Republic of Macedonia Ms. Marriet Schuurman; Ms. Katherine Raeymakers Charge d’Affairs a.i. Belgium Embassy to Macedonia; Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mr. Safet Neziri; Mr. Michael Maddison, Chief-inspector for history in England; Jonathan Even – Zohar, senior manager of Euroclio. The participants were welcomed also by Mire Mladenovski, president of AHEM and Besnik Emini, vice-president of AHEM.
 

The report is collection of different analysis of current situation in the history education on the way of history of curriculum, history textbooks, school practice, pre-practice teachers training, teacher training during their working period, conclusions and suggestions for the development of history education in the Republic of Macedonia. The event was followed by many electronic and printed media, for which participants shared their opinions.
 

After the end of first part, respectively promotion of the report, in the afternoon was organized international symposium for the history education with title: What makes history education works? For the experiences and challenges in the history education discusses participants from the country and abroad, like history teachers, university professors and researcher who shared experiences from the differe

After the promotion of the report, in the same place, in the building of the Info center of EU delegation in Skopje was organized international symposium about history education with title: What makes history education work? For the experiences and challenges of the history education discussion had participants from the country and from abroad, like history teachers, university professors and researchers who shared experiences from different perspectives.

Among participants own opinions shared domestic and international participants: Ivana Dobrivojevic (Researcher, Institute of Contemporary History, Serbia), Michael Maddison (Chief-inspector for history in England, United Kingdom), Ineke Veldhuis – Meester (Independent consultant, The Netherland) Iryna Kostiuk (History teacher trainer and textbook author, Ukraine), Jacek Staniszewski (Researcher, Institute of researches in Education, Poland), Dzintra Liepina (History teacher, Latvia).

From domestic participants their opinions shared: Todor Chepreganov (Director of Institute of National History), Qerim Dalipi (Chief of History Department, State University of Tetovo), Boban Petrovski (Chief of History Department, Philosophic Faculty, UKIM, Skopje), Mire Mladenovski and Besnik Emini from AHEM.

Participants had a possibility to make a questions, and there was debate about different opinions of the participants.
